How to Solve EU.ORG Domain can't read sitemap in Google Search Console

How to Solve EU.ORG Domain can't read sitemap in Google Search Console

At the previous meeting I discussed the reason why the EU ORG domain couldn't read the sitemap on Google Search Console, causing blog posts to not appear on Google.

Blog posts that don't appear in Google search will certainly make you worried. All the writing that you put together in the article in the hope that it can be read and found by others feels useless.

That's how bloggers who use the EU.ORG domain feel who can't read the sitemap on the Google search console. That's how I felt before. But I have found a solution so that you yourself can also find my post on Google.

How to Solve EU.ORG Domain can't read sitemap in Google Search Console

Of all the ways I did to solve the problem of the EU ORG domain not being able to read the sitemap from changing the sitemap & waiting for a few days it also didn't produce the results I wanted. But finally I found the solution and finally all my posts can be searched on Google.

Register a Blog Through Google News (Google Publisher)

What is Google News? Google News is a platform owned by Google in which there is a lot of information & about news. Is Google News only for articles that discuss news only? of course not. Google News can accept sites that discuss anything.

The advantages of Google News for bloggers

If you register your blog site on Google News. Besides being able to help blog posts are easily found by others. In addition, you no longer need to submit your post url in Google Search Console because if it is registered with Google News, your post will automatically be indexed on Google.

How to Register EU.ORG Domain Blog to Google News

Note: Previously, make sure you register for google news using a blog email / email that is connected to Google Search Console.
  • Select the "Add Publication" option, Fill in the box provided as shown below.
Publication Name: Filled with the name/title of your blog.
Main Site Properties: fill using your blog url (EU.ORG Domain).
Location: Your country's location.
  • Then select the option "Publish Settings"
  • In the main language option, fill in the language you use on your blog.
  • Then in the Main site property URL section, select verify in search console. If successful, you will see verified posts.
  • Then the Other site property URL, fill it with 2 urls. First using the blogspot domain and the second using the EU.OR domain. For example like the image below.
IMPORTANT: Must use 2 urls. Namely blogspot before the custom domain and the second using the EU.ORG domain.
  • Then in the contact section, enter the email that you are currently using.
  • Then select the "Next" option
  • Create a logo with a size of 512x512. You can follow the favicon logo or other images, it's up to you.
  • The cover is more important than the logo. Make a cover with a size of 16x9 that reads the name / title of your blog.
IMPORTANT: This cover section is very important. If you make a cover that doesn't match the blog title, then you will be rejected to become a Google News publisher. If you want it to be simpler, follow the picture below.
There are 2 covers that you have to make. Light mode cover & dark mode cover. If you make a bright fashion cover, make sure the background is a bright color like white & must use a black font. On the contrary for the cover of dark mode. Use a black background & white font.
  • Then the font section, you can use any font, for example "Arial". Then fill in the font box. then Save.
  • Then switch to the main menu, click the option as shown below.
  • Then select Edit.
  • In the general section, fill in the description of your blog. Then select your blog category.
  • Then select "Next"

Rubric

Rubric In this option is a very important choice of the problem you are experiencing. A rubric is a tracking tool like a sitemap in Google Search Console. The rubric will display the posts you made on the blog. To create a rubric, add the sitemap below.
  • Select "New Rubric" then select "RSS".
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

Combine it with your blogspot url (Not eu.org Domain) like this https://tradeschool.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

IMPORTANT NOTE: use the blogspot url, (not the eu.org domain) because if you use the eu.org domain you will not be able to submit the sitemap successfully.
  • Then the Access Group section, fill in using your email. And give it any name, example "Trade Group"
  • Then select "Next".
  • Then select "Review" in the Terms of Services option.
  • Fill in the Terms of Services box using the name, url, email as below.
  • Next, select all the options below.

Then you wait for your blog to be approved to join Google News. Usually the review process is 3 days to 1 week. The method above will 100% be accepted if you fill in the data correctly.

You should often check whether your account has been approved or is still in the review stage. If it has been approved, it will be written like this in your account.

The Final Step for EU.ORG Domain to appear in Google search

If you have done all the steps above, then you have to add a sitemap in Google Search Console, namely the blogspot domain, (not the eu.org domain).

Add the following sitemap in the https blogspot option.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

After my blog was approved by Google News, now all my posts are indexed on Google without the need to submit via Google search console.

Closing

I hope you follow the tutorial I gave above carefully. Especially in the Rubric section. The sitemap that you fill in the rubric will determine whether your blog post will appear or not on Google. The correct one is as below.

https://seo-formula.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

The important point is to use the blogspot domain not the eu.org domain. Because if the blogspot domain is indexed, the EU.ORG custom domain will also be indexed.

Even though the sitemap in the EU.ORG domain is still unreadable, that's not a problem. Because all your blog posts will be indexed if they have been approved by Google News.
